No More Waiting for Dental Crowns!

SAME-DAY DENTAL CROWNS

At Anderson Family Dental in Winter Park, we use advanced CEREC technology to provide same-day dental crowns for our patients.

ONE VISIT ONLY

Unlike traditional crowns, which require a week or two and impressions sent to an off-site lab, we use digital impressions and create your crown on-site. This allows us to complete the entire process in a single visit, saving you time and eliminating the need for a temporary crown.

What is a Dental Crown?

A dental crown is a custom-made cover for a tooth that's been damaged by decay, trauma, or wear that protects your tooth and restores its function. Enabling you to enjoy all of your favorite foods without worrying about damaging your tooth. Our experienced dentists, Drs. Bryant and Kathleen Anderson, may recommend a crown for several reasons including protecting a cracked tooth or restoring a tooth after a root canal, which helps to preserve its function.

At our office where we serve Orlando, FL and nearby areas, we craft high-quality, custom crowns using digital impressions in our on-site lab. This means we can create your crown while you wait, making the process quick and convenient!

The Versatility of Dental Crowns

Dental crowns are a common, versatile dental treatment that can be used in many capacities and in order to perform a variety of functions to help you achieve your restorative or cosmetic goals.

GENERAL DENTISTRY

Dental crowns may be used in general dentistry to cap a weak or vulnerable tooth following trauma or root infection. The crown creates a buffer between your tooth and your bite, which prevents fractures.

COSMETIC DENTISTRY

Dental crowns can be used in cosmetic dentistry to conceal a discolored, flawed, or unsightly tooth. Similar to veneers, a crown can even close small gaps between teeth.

TOOTH REPLACEMENT
Dental crowns are used in implant dentistry as the visible portion of the dental implant as the cap on your post in order to mimic the natural appearance and function of the missing tooth.

A dental crown can also work beautifully with a dental bridge as an anchor to complete your smile and restore bite function.

How Do I Care For Dental Crowns?

A dental crown does not require special maintenance. It is simply important to continue good dental hygiene practices at home. After a crown is placed, patients should follow any aftercare instructions given by the dentist and then continue to brush and floss as directed, treating the crown just like a real tooth.

With any restorations, however, it is always crucial to visit your dentist regularly for dental exams and teeth cleanings. Caring for your crown is important to ensure it lasts as long as possible.
